• They found out another band in the 60s were called Blind Faith

 

• Story from Chris Davis:

Kelly can still put his thumb in a flame until it goes black without feeling any pain because in about 1988 I pushed him off a 3 foot wall onto some broken glass which severed the nerves to the fingers in his hand. He then had an operation to reconnect them and they were connected wrong, so his index finger would move when he really wanted to move another finger. He had another operation to change the nerve endings around, resulting in all his fingers working right apart from his thumb. This very nearly ceased his guitar playing career forever.

 

• One of Silent Runners video recordings is titled "the brightly coloured love AOR" which is of a gig in the Kings head in Aberaman and them all messing about as kids.

 

• David Turner is known to his friends locally as ‘Dai Jock’. Dai is the welsh equivalent of David and his family are from Scotland and has a Scottish accent, hence the ‘Jock’

 

• Kelly Jones trained as a boxer in his teens while working on the Market
in Aberdare.

 

• Mark Everett is known as Mark ‘Mad Dog’ Everett

 

• Lee Dunn did their Graphic Design work in the early years

 

• Julian Castaldi did their photography and worked on the fanzines

 

• Alan O’Keefe wrote articles for the fanzines (Stereoline)

 

• There was even a second Richard Jones that was part of Tragic Love Company. He is known as Rock n Roll Rich.
